HB FULLER INSUL-CURE
DQS, in partnership with HB Fuller in the U.S.A are pleased to announce the launch of a new Insulating glass sealant In the UK called INSUL-CURE. INSUL-CURE is a warm applied (warm melt) sealant which combines the ease of handling and speed of a Hot melt with the shear & heat resistance of a Polyurethane.
DQS added this product to it already extensive range of sealants for a number of reasons, one of the reasons being the product will pass Part 2 of the en1279 test without the need for a primary seal (butyl), coupled with this INSUL-CURE also chemically bonds & cross links with the glass when cured in a Double glazed unit.
DQS also supply a range of machinery capable of dispensing this product.

Insulating Glass Sealant
A patented new sealant technology from H.B. Fuller Company. Combining cured performance with hot melt convenience, H.B. Fuller, creator of innovative products for the insulating glass and window industry, introduces the next generation of sealant technology.
INSUL-CURE is a one-part modified urethane IG sealant that combines:
- The high performance of a chemically cured thermoset sealant and
- The manufacturing speed and ease of a hot melt sealant.
Developed for use with the INTERCEPT® system, INSUL-CURE IG sealant features:
- Cured thermoset performance for structural strength, adhesion and temperature resistance.
- Provides necessary barrier properties for moisture and argon to be used as a single seal.
- Easy application using machinery which directly guns the product into a unit.
- One-component application alleviates problems associated with meter/mix equipment used for two part sealants
- Instant handling strength to speed production.
- Convenient low-temperature application
- Test performance that meets global industry standards (ASTM E773/E774; DIN 1286, parts 1,2; CSTB shear test; IGMAC 12.8).
- Passes IGMAC 12.8 Canadian fog test and ASTM E773/E774 fog test.
